The Great Norway Bay Garage Sale – July 7, 2018
Report by the Organizer: Dorothy Cowley
There were 50 vendor signs sold at a cost of $10.00 each or $500.00, hot dog and drink sales amounted to $297.00 and the donations jar yielded an additional $143.00. Costs, including advertising, amounted to $85.00, thus a net income of $855.00 was earned for the NBMA.
A very special thank you is due to John Ludington, Brian Huck and Terry Egan who purchased all of the supplies, ran the BBQ and served all the hot dogs and drinks at the Hot Dog Stand.
Many thanks are also due to Les Orr who donated two cases of water, which was sold at the Coffee Stand as well as the Hot Dog Stand and to Bev and Dane Baily and the ladies of the St. Andrew’s Knox United Church for selling coffee and muffins. Proceeds of the latter went to the church.
In addition, a sincere thank you is due to Mike and Nancy Foley for all their efforts in creating and installing the large banner at River and Warf Road, as well as all of those who generously made contributions to the donations jar.
It was one of the most successful Great Norway Bay Garage Sales to date.
