NBMA 2024 Job Applications

It's time to turn your thoughts to summer at the Bay. The 2024 summer job applications for Swimming, Canoe & Kayak, tennis, basketball, Field Sports, Arts & Crafts and Musical Theatre supervisors, instructors, and volunteers are now open. Please ensure that any friends and family member(s) who may be interested in these positions are made aware of this notice.

The 2024 NBMA programs will run for six weeks; from July 1 to August 9.

There will be an online job fair for Q&A on March 25th at 7pm.

You are invited to a Zoom meeting.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

To apply for all currently listed positions, please follow these steps. All steps must be completed in order to be considered for positions:

Read the job descriptions for all jobs for which you will be applying. There are often changes to the qualifications, contact info etc., so you must review them every year.
Complete your resumé and save as a PDF file.
Complete the application form (complete this form only once, regardless of how many jobs you are applying for), attach your PDF resumé where indicated, and press submit. APPLICATION FORM LINK.
If you are interested in the Program Manager role you do not need to complete the form. You are however required to send your cover letter and resume to Pat Byrne patrickdbyrne@hotmail.com.

Swimming:

The NBMA is working closely with Bristol to determine what, if anything, can be set up to facilitate deeper-water swimming program activities this summer. With the very recent news of the Pier closing, Bristol is still trying to understand what can and can't be done without impacting safety and liability restrictions. We hope to have specific announcements very soon, but until we can confirm what might be configured (and when), and whether that could be used to facilitate a safe and effective environment to teach the necessary swimming programs, we are unfortunately unable to commit to any specific 'deep water' swimming. Please be patient, as we recognize the impact this delay has on children hoping to enroll in these programs, parents trying to coordinate summer plans and potential instructors anticipating employment this season. As soon as we get confirmation one way or the other, we will communicate immediately to the NBMA community. These are certainly extraordinary circumstances, and not something we had expected - but still certainly something that we need to get clarity on as soon as possible. Please stay tuned.
